Writing Task # 2

Dear Hans,

My name is Marylin Naranjo Fuentes, and I hope you are well. I want to tell you a little bit about the daily tasks I did last week; because, one of them was reading your book The Glass Box. Also, I am going through a quarantine period because of a disease that appeared at the end of last year, and it is similar to your text. I was only able to leave my house on one occasion and that was to do some shopping for the house. I did a lot of homework related to my area of study; also, two exams from my major. The good thing is that I have been able to take advantage of the time to share with my mother and her company's pets and that is something that did not happen very often before because of work and study. I know that what I did was not very extraordinary but these are things that have been important to me.

Hans, now I want to tell you some things that have happened to family, friends and me in the past week. First, my sister gave me some wonderful news that she has been hired in the company she always wanted but she knows that the challenge is just beginning. Along the same lines, my boyfriend has been trying very hard to get the job he wanted and finally he got it, that makes me very proud and I know he will do an incredible job. I have been taking care of my pets and mainly one of them since he had a surgery and it is in physical therapy and special care. Also, I have been watching movies that I did not have time to enjoy. I am not allowed to leave the house due to the pandemia but it is understandable, I do not want to get sick to be honest.
